Maria Marques teaches a seminar on environmental criminal law at the University of South Australia.

Entitled "The protection of the environment throughs criminal law in the EU", on April 14 professor Department of Public Law Maria Marquès, gave a seminar focused on the Directive 2008/99 / EC on the protection of the environment through criminal law, first European directive of this nature, exposing its reasons, the type of behavior and sanctions, as well as the scope of criminal liability. The analysis of the main content of the directive was made from a critical perspective, opening a discussion on the limits of the criminal law in this area. The seminar addressed the environmental law professor at the University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, Flinders University and University College London-Australia.
